Recognized as an accomplished quilt designer, Heather has authored a number of quilting books and is now designing fabric as well.  Her designs are noted for their rich use of contemporary colors.  Heather’s business, Anka’s Treasures, is “where trendy meets traditional” and is named after her inspirational great grandmother, Anka.  Learn more about Heather and Anka’s Treasures at www.ankastreasures.com.

The designer and owner of GE Designs, Gudrun was born and raised in Iceland.  She started quilting at age 23 and was soon designing her own patterns.  In 2003, she began translating and selling her patterns in English, eventually moving with her husband and children to Minnesota where they live today.  Her “quilt as you go” patterns have been very popular, with easy to follow instructions and quick assembly and finishing.  Learn more about Gudrun at www.gequiltdesigns.com.

Diane saw a dream come true when she opened Timeless Treasures Quilt Shop in McGregor, Minnesota in 2002.  An avid quilter for nearly 20 years, she has been blessed by the many wonderful relationships that have been forged in her shop and is very excited to share her love for quilting with the Lake Beauty quilting family.

Elaine is the proud owner of Silver Lane Quilting in Forest Lake, Minnesota.  She is a lifelong sewer & quilter and has many years of professional experience in graphic design.  Elaine will be serving as the primary instructor for Spring #3 and Fall #5, but is excited to be sharing the experience with her friends Angie and Barb, owners of The Noble Quilter (Elk River) and Quilts on Broadway (Foley), respectively.  Together, their goal is to provide a wonderful experience for guests, both in their shops and on retreat, and to further the art of quilting.
