2010 Quilting Retreats

Description

Quilters from all walks of life and from all across the Midwest and United States come to Lake Beauty each year. Many moms and grandmothers use this retreat to introduce their daughters and granddaughters to the creative enjoyment of quilting. We are encouraged to see two and three generations of quilters sharing the gift of time together.

Lake Beauty’s Quilting Retreats are designed for everyone: beginners to those who’ve been quilting for years. Work is done at your own pace with both individual and group instruction. Techniques are demonstrated and instructors are available to help make your time with us both productive and memorable.

Featured Projects

Each session instructor brings a special project to share and teach a new technique or style.  The project will be listed on the printable resources page when available (February 1 for Spring Retreats and August 1 for Fall Retreats).  Check out our Instructors page for who will be teaching at each retreat this year!

Participants are always welcome to bring their own projects – many do! Instructors are happy to help provide direction when requested.

Registration

Register online or phone (800-732-1990) using your credit card, or by mail with your personal check.  A minimum $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each session you will be attending.  Balance due may be paid in advance or at check-in.  See our 2010 brochure for complete registration, confirmation and cancellation information.

SPECIAL OFFER!  As a special incentive to introduce new folks to quilting at Lake Beauty, we have a very exciting offer for this fall.  Anyone that brings a first time friend to a Fall 2010 Quilt Retreat, that friend comes for half price!  (This includes first time friends already registered for Fall 2010).

Retreat #1: Friday – Sunday, November 5-7
Jump Start: Sunday, November 7
Retreat #2: Monday - Thursday, November 8-11
Jump Start: Thursday, November 11
Retreat #3: Friday – Sunday,  November 12-14
Jump Start: Sunday, November 14
Retreat #4: Monday – Thursday, November 15-18
Jump Start: Thursday, November 18
Retreat #5: Friday – Sunday, November 19-21

If you register for consecutive sessions, the day between sessions is complimentary!

Other Information

While we encourage families and friends to share this experience together, we are not able to accommodate infants, toddlers or children under 12 yrs old.

All Lake Beauty buildings are smoke free facilities. Smoking is only permitted outside buildings. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the grounds.
