  Heather Peterson

Recognized as an accomplished quilt designer, Heather has authored a number of quilting books and is now designing fabric as well.  Her designs are noted for their rich use of contemporary colors.  Heather’s business, Anka’s Treasures, is “where trendy meets traditional” and is named after her inspirational great grandmother, Anka.  Learn more about Heather and Anka’s Treasures at www.ankastreasures.com.

Heather will be teaching at Spring #1 (Mar16-18) & Fall #2 (Nov 2-4).

  Shelley Robson

Shelley Robson, a quilter since the 5th grade when she made her first quilt, opened her quilt shop, The Quilted Forest, in 1998.  Her design company, Pieced Tree Patterns, attended its first International Quilt Market in 2004, and has been going strong ever since!  Pieced Tree Patterns has a wide range of projects to pick from: runners, banners, placemats, to full size quilts.  Shelley and Dan Robson have been married for 21 years and are the blessed parents of 3 fabulous kids: Alex (18), Jeff (16) and Jana (10).  When not quilting or spending time with her family, Shelley loves to drink fancy expensive coffee, play computer games and read books!

  Bonnie Lundorff


Bonnie opened Willow Wood Market, her Bemidji MN quilt shop/wool studio, 15 years ago and has been instilling a love of quilting and stitching in her customers ever since.  She designs and teaches simple to make wool projects as well as sticheries and quilted projects.  Bonnie has taught at the MN state quilt show, the International Quilt Festival, and has presented trunk shows and classes for many quilt guilds all around the upper Midwest.  For more info on Bonnie, go to www.willowwoodmarketdesigns.com.  Bonnie will be teaching at our Spring #3 (Mar 23-25).

  Maxine Rosenthal

Maxine has been making kaleidoscopes since 1988.  Seeing the plethora of kaleidoscopes that different fabrics produce has kept her sewing and buying more fabric.  It is now 20+ years later and she is still making kaleidoscopes.  Before taking up quilting, Maxine had a career in computers.  Retirement has given her the opportunity to spend all her time playing, something she never had enough time for before.  Maxine has also been teaching these techniques so that others can enjoy playing with are as well.  Maxine will be teaching at Fall #1 (Oct 9-12). 

  Sue Herzberg

Sue had been a quilter since the 1970′s and was a frequent attendee of Lake Beauty Quilt Retreats.  In 1996, Sue realized her dream and became the owner of Quilt Cove in Eagan, MN.  Sue loves rulers and gadgets, so during the retreat she will share about several handy new rulers and how they work, in addition to teaching her featured project.

  Carol Best

Carol has been quilting for 18 years and has been sharing her passion through teaching since 1999.  Carol's first love is piecing and has won many awards throughout the years.  Carol and her husband, Rich, are the owners of Simply the Best Quilting, a long arm quilting business.  Carol enjoys teaching all levels of quilters and really enjoys seeing her students get excited while learning the techniques taught in her classes!  Carol will be teaching at Fall #4 (Nov 9-11).

  Kari Carr

As an author, quilt & notion designer, Kari's favorite part of her business is teaching.  Some of the most well-written & illustrated patterns have come from New Leaf Stitches along with an innovative notiion, Clearly Perfect Angles.  This "recycled Home-Ec teacher's" mitering technique is the basis for her book from Martingale and has been featured on the covers of several leading quilt magazines.  Kari and her husband have lived in the Minnesota lake's area their entire lives.  Learn more about Kari at www.NewLeafStitches.com.  Kari will be teaching at Fall #5 (Nov 16-18).
