  Char Hansen

As a quilter of 37 years and Quilt Sweepstakes Award winner at the MN State Fair (2 times!), Char has a large collection of fabric scraps.  In her teaching sessions, she will show you how to organize and prepare your fabric scraps to make quilt blocks.  She encourages you to use leftover blocks from other quilt projects, fabric panels and even the selvages to create one-of-a-kind scrap quilts.  Char and her husband Craig live in Rochester MN, as do their 2 adult children.

 

Char will be teaching at Spring #1 (Mar 8-10).

 

  Shelley Robson

Shelley has been quilting since the 5th grade, opening her own quilt shop, The Quilted Forest (Forest City IA) back in 1998.  Her design company, Pieced Tree Patterns, made its International Market debut in 2004.  Pieced Tree Patterns has a wide range of projects, from runners, banners & place mats, to full size quilts.

 

Shelley will be teaching at Spring #2 (Mar 11-14) and Fall #3 (Nov 11-14).

 

  Bonnie Lundorff

Bonnie Lundorff opened Willow Wood Market, her Bemidji MN quilt shop/wool studio, 15 years ago and has been instilling a love of quilting and stitching in her customers ever since.  She designs and teaches simple-to-make wool projects as well as stitcheries and quilted projects.  Bonnie as taught at the MN state quilt show, the International Quilt Festival, and has presented trunk shows and classes for many guilds all around the Upper Midwest.  For more on Bonnie, go to www.willowwoodmarketdesigns.com.

  Kari Carr

As an author, quilt & notion designer, Kari's favorite part of her business is teaching.  Some of the most well-written & illustrated patterns have come from New Leaf Stitches along with an innovative notion, Clearly Perfect Angles.  This "recycled" Home Ec teacher has published two books with Martingale.  Quilt from her books have been featured on the covers of several leading quilt magazines. 

 

Kari will be teaching at Fall #1 (Oct 8-11).

 

  Heather Mulder Peterson

Recognzied as an accomplished quilt designer, Heather has authored a number of quilting books and is now designing fabric.  Heather's business, Anka's Treasures, is where "trendy meets traditional" and is named after her inspirational great grandmother, Anka.  Learn more about Heather at www.ankastreasures.com.

 

Heather will be teaching at Fall #2 (Nov 8-10).

 

  Rick Peterson

Rick has been a doll maker for over 15 years.  He creates dolls heads, hands and feet with polymer clay and places them on cloth bodies.  Rick has been teaching for many years at Quilt Shops, Community Class, and even with the MN Quilt Conventions.  He loves to the the excitement in his students when they see how easy it is to create something with their own hands, as well as explaining other techniques and ideas that can be incorporated into quilting projects.  Rick has co-authored a book on doll making titled, "The Complete Photo Guide to Doll Making."

 

Rick will be teaching at Fall #4 (Nov 15-17).
