Labor Day Family Camp

September 12th, 2009 by Leland Sheneberger for News

We rejoice that over 420 children, teens, and adults enjoyed a stellar Labor Day weekend, with sunny skies, warm fellowship and a great time together as families.  Corey Johnsrud shared powerful messages from God’s Word in our Chapel sessions.

A highlight during Sunday evening’s chapel was a tribute to Bryon Anderson, Board Member from St Cloud who passed away suddenly in early August.  Paul Zahasky and Corey Johnsrud, both LBBC Board Members, presented Joy, Thor and Annika Anderson (Bryon’s family) with a flag that had flown over Lake Beauty this summer, as well as a memorial plaque that was mounted on our new playground unit.  Bryon was instrumental in getting the playground unit assembled in time for Memorial Day Family Camp earlier this summer.  He was passionate about people meeting Jesus, about Lake Beauty, and about his dear family.  Bryon will be missed by all who knew him.
